AARP's LGBTQ+ aging resources, advocacy, and community. Relevant for veterans of the AIDS crisis, the Stonewall generation, and elders who lived underground identities most of their lives. Caregiver support is built into most LGBTQ+ elder programs — partner-led care is acknowledged and supported. Medicare and Medicaid cover gender-affirming care for elders in most states — including for people just starting transition late in life. All services free of charge to LGBTQ+ Oregon residents and allies.
