NAEH research and advocacy on LGBTQ+ homelessness. For LGBTQ+ youth kicked out by family, adults fleeing domestic violence, and elders facing housing discrimination. Some programs hold trans-specific beds and units; ask intake about identity-affirming room assignment. LGBTQ+ youth represent 40% of homeless youth despite being 7% of the general youth population. Open at no cost to LGBTQ+ New Jersey residents and the people supporting them.
