Most LGBTQ+ shelters accept walk-ins for intake; bring ID and any medications. Section 8 vouchers can be ported across cities — useful for fleeing hostile environments while keeping subsidy. Open at no cost to LGBTQ+ Maine residents and the people supporting them.
