NIDA — federal research on drug abuse and addiction including LGBTQ+ populations. Useful for queer people who've tried 12-step but found the rooms straight-by-default and hostile to identity work. Harm reduction (Narcan, fentanyl test strips, syringe exchange) is widely available; most LGBTQ+ centers stock supplies. Sober dating, friendship, and sex are real challenges in queer culture; affirming therapists work with this directly. All services free of charge to LGBTQ+ Georgia residents and allies.
