Many LGBTQ+ senior centers offer programs, meals, and peer companionship — often free with suggested donation. Many LGBTQ+ elders went back into the closet when they entered nursing homes; SAGE-trained facilities are growing but still rare. Open at no cost to LGBTQ+ Alabama residents and the people supporting them.
